Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Inan effort of Police Regional Office 3 under the leadership of PCSUPT EDGARDO TLADAO, RD, PRO 3 to eradicate all forms of illegal gambling in the region, Pampanga Provincial Director, PSSUPT EDGARDO G TINIO conducted an operation on anti-illegal gambling in Brgy Sta Lucia Anac, Masantol, Pampanga on February 4,2012, Saturday which resulted in the confiscation of three (3) video karera machines (VKMs) as it stepped up its drive against anti-illegal gambling.
The said operation was a joint effort of the Masantol MPS headed by PCINSP ROMEO BALUBAL JR, Chief of Policea and personnel of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) headed by PSUPT RAULAPOSTOL VALENCIA. No person was arrested; however, investigation revealed that the confiscated VKMs were owned by a certain “Boy Itik”.
Last month, three (3) operations were conducted in, one (1) on illegal bookies in Guagua and two (2) on VKM activities, both in Macabebe and Mabalacat which resulted in the arrest ofthree (3) persons, confiscation of bets amounting PhP 166.00 and filing of appropriate charges against the arrested persons.
PCSUPT LADAO said that with this accomplishment, PRO 3 will continue to eradicate all forms of illegal gambling in the region. He further stated that police operatives are continuously conducting monitoring operations especially to the areas where illegal gambling activities have been previously reported.
Consequently, he lauded the men and women of Pampanga PPO for a job well done.
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga-The unwavering efforts of PRO 3 PNP personnel under the overall supervision of PCSUPT EDGARDO T LADAO, RD, PRO 3 to arrest criminals and put them behind bars resulted to the arrest of 4 wanted persons in the province of Bataan.
Based on reports by Bataan PPO, on January 19, 2012 at about 11:30 AM,joint elements of Bataan PPO- Intelligence Branch, Investigation and Detective Management Branch, Public Safety Company, Dinalupihan Station and Philippine Army led by PSUPT ALLAN MACAPAGAL under the supervision of PSSUPT ARNOLD GUNNACAO, Provincial Director, Bataan PPO, conducted manhunt operations at Brgys San Ramon and Pita, Dinalupihan, Bataan which resulted to the arrest ofCherlene Pineda, ArthemRanska, Emily Grace Ranska and Ian David Ranska, all residents of Brgy San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan by Virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Criminal Case Nr 12866 for Robbery with Violence and Intimidation (Hijacking) with recommended bail of 100 thousand pesos each.
Arrested wanted persons were brought to Bataan PPO, Camp Tolentino, Balanga City for proper documentation.
PNP PRO 3 will carry on its mandated tasks to enforce the law and place lawless elements behind bars.
A total of 24,300 wanted persons were arrested by police units as the PNP pressed manhunt operations in 2011 for persons wanted by the law for involvement in criminal cases.
Those arrested include 102 suspects listed in the Top Most Wanted roster with monetary reward offered for information leading to their arrest. In 2011, there were 297 wanted persons who yielded peacefully to authorities while nine others resisted arrest and were slain as a result.
PNP Chief, “Pulis Nyo Po” Director General Nicanor A Bartolome has listed Accounting of Wanted Persons and Service of Warrants as 6th item in his 10-point action program as chief of the 140,000-strong PNP.
Citing operational accomplishments posted by the PNP in 2011, Bartolome said continuing police operations will be mounted in 2012 to account for more criminal offenders wanted by the law.
Each year, the PNP receives an average of 40,000 Warrants of Arrest from the different branches of the judiciary. The backlog of un-served court processes that have accumulated over the years is the subject of continuing law enforcement efforts by the PNP thru computer-aided anti-crime methods designed to assist police units in monitoring and documentation of court processes and records of wanted persons.
According to PNP Spokesman, Chief Superintendent Agrimero A Cruz Jr., the PNP expects to interconnect all police units in the country thru a nationwide electronic network linked to a national database of wanted persons, arrested criminal offenders, and other crime records.
Access of PNP units to the e-blotter, e-warrant and e-rogue database networks are expected to enhance efforts to account for more wanted persons and crime offenders by as much as 1,700 most wanted persons every month, Cruz said,
Last year, 967 suspects belonging to 203 organized crime groups were rounded-up in separate police operations. The 967 arrested suspects yielded 149 various types of firearms. (PNP-PIO)
